Further Information for Councils Working in partnership If your council would be interested in helping us to promote this initiative to your residents, we would undertake to provide (electronically) the information that volunteers will need to set up reuse networks (e.g. template for the introductory letter, follow-up information for interested individuals, suggested design for the e-mail based network), contained in a step-by-step guide. Volunteers will be provided with support and will be requested for information on how their networks are developing (e.g. participation rates). This information can be fed back to councils to enable them to track the progress made in their area. Benefits to residents The reuse networks aim to encourage participants to be more creative in how they transfer goods that they no longer need and in how they source what goods they require, whether on a permanent or temporary basis. Participants will benefit from the sense of well-being that emanates from being more connected to other residents in their locality.
