Helping Combat Climate Change

Global warming, and the potential changes to the earth’s climate that may ensue, are a much discussed topic, whether in the boardroom, on the news or in the classroom.

One way that we, as individuals, can assist is by reducing our levels of consumption. Each item we purchase will have an associated environmental impact arising from its manufacture. With regard to climate change, of particular concern will be the impact resulting from the amount of energy used in the process of supplying the required raw materials, in manufacturing the product and in transporting the product and process waste around the country or abroad.

Setting up or joining a reuse network is one way that we can start to try to reduce the amount of new goods we purchase. This is one of many ways to help combat climate change.
